ContactAlessandra joined CTV News in 2018, first as a general assignment reporter at CTV Saskatchewan's Yorkton Bureau, where she reported on stories that included high rates of domestic violence in rural communities throughout the prairie province, along with an exclusive sit-down interview with friends of missing teenager Mekayla Bali.
Alessandra then moved to the anchor seat at CTV News Saskatoon, where she hosted the weekend newscasts while continuing to report on some of the most significant stories in the province.
In 2020, she returned to her home province of Ontario and joined the CTV News Barrie team as the weekend anchor and weekday videographer.
Alessandra has covered some of the region's largest stories, including provincial election coverage. She also fills in on the CTV News Channel anchor desk.
Before joining CTV News, Alessandra worked for the CTV News parent company, Bell Media, at the Toronto headquarters as the promotions and sales coordinator for 99.9 Virgin Radio, 104.5 CHUM FM, and Newstalk 1010, an experience she says taught her about the business of broadcasting.
Alessandra was born in Toronto and spent much of her childhood in Portugal. When she isn't on the anchor desk or reporting, she enjoys time with family, friends and her golden retriever, Ollie.
She speaks English, Portuguese, Italian and Spanish.
