3-vehicle crash claims second life in Caledon: OPP

Two people are dead following a three-vehicle crash involving two motorcycles in Caledon, Ont.

The collision happened on Highway 9 between Mount Wolfe Road and Caledon/King Townline shortly after 9 p.m. Thursday.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said the crash was between a pickup truck and two motorcycles. One driver, a 51-year-old Shelburne man, was pronounced at the scene, while another was airlifted to a trauma centre.

On Sunday, Caledon OPP said the airlifted driver, a 52-year-old Orangeville woman, died in hospital. 

The section of the highway was closed until 5:30 a.m. Friday morning.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
