17-year-old charged with impaired driving after crashing into hydro pole

Police arrested a 17-year-old accused of impaired driving after a single-vehicle collision in Wasaga Beach.

Provincial police say the teen crashed into a hydro pole in the early morning hours on Tuesday and fled the scene.

Officers located the youth shortly after and initiated an impaired operation investigation.

The teen is charged with impaired operation, being a novice driver with a blood alcohol above zero, and failing to report an accident.
