The Ministry of Labour has been notified after a worker fell from the roof of a house in Orillia Tuesday.

According to Orillia OPP, the incident happened just after 3 p.m. at a residence on Crawford Street.

The roofer, a 31 year-old man reportedly fell approximately twenty feet from the roof and sustained serious injuries.

He was airlifted to a trauma centre in Toronto.

The Ministry of Labour is now investigating the incident.

A ministry spokesperson told CTV Barrie an inspector issued two orders and one requirement to the employer, Roofing for Less, to ensure workers use personal protective equipment and for the production of documentation.
