A woman arrested in connection with a weekend stabbing in Orillia has been charged.

Emergency crews rushed to a home on Peter Street South on Sunday, just after 9 p.m. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from stab wounds.

The man was rushed to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The accused, a 51-year-old Orillia woman, has been charged with assault with a weapon.

She was released on the promise to appear in court in September.
