An Owen Sound woman is facing charges after allegedly lighting a house fire that killed four cats.
Owen Sound police say a 31-year-old woman deliberately set her 8th Avenue East home on fire on Canada Day. She was rushed to hospital for smoke inhalation, while four pet cats died.
Investigators have now charged the woman with arson and cruelty to animals.
The accused will appear in court next month.
