Witnesses are being sought in a crash that claimed the life of a pedestrian in East Gwillimbury.
Two pedestrians were walking in the area of Highway 11, near Sherwood Glen on Friday night.
York Regional Police say that at around 9 p.m., the pair was struck by a Honda Civic.
A 22-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. A 21-year-old woman was transported to hospital with serious injuries.
The circumstances surrounding the crash have not been released.
