The OPP have charged three men for stealing Canadian flags and damaging flag poles in downtown Gravenhurst.
Police say an officer was flagged down while on patrol early Tuesday morning and was notified about men seen stealing some of the Canadian flags that line Muskoka Road South.
Police found the suspects one block off the main street and arrested them without incident. Police say one of the suspects had a flag hanging out his pants pocket.
The suspects were charged with mischief under $5,000 and will appear in a Bracebridge court in September.
All eight Canadian flags were recovered and returned to the Gravenhurst Lions Club.
