An investigation is underway after police say a teenager suffered what’s believed to be an overdosed on an unknown pink substance.

Emergency crews were called to a home on Yonge Street on Thursday night. Inside, a 17-year-old boy was found suffering from a suspected overdose.

Next to the boy, officers found a small bag containing a pink rock-type substance, which they believe he consumed.

The teen was taken to hospital with serious injuries, but has since been released.

Investigators are now awaiting results from Health Canada to determine what the substance is.

Anyone who finds this substance is asked to contact police immediately.
