Police in Richmond Hill have charged a man in connection to the murder of his father.
York Regional police say they found the 30-year-old accused on Highway 48 in East Gwillimbury on Monday. The man was arrested and charged with first degree murder.
Officers were called to a home near Yonge St. and Major Mckenzie Dr. on Sunday night.
They say they found the body of a 77-year-old man, which showed what they describe as obvious signs of trauma.
The investigation is ongoing.
