Environment Canada has issued snow squall warnings and watches across our region on Thursday.

The weather office says westerly winds in the wake of a low pressure system are generating snow squalls over the open waters or Lake Huron and Georgian Bay. Local snowfall amounts of 15 cm are possible over 12 hours in the strongest snow squalls

Blowing snow advisories were also issued on Thursday. Flurries combined with brisk westerly winds are likely to produce frequent low visibilities over the regions into Thursday night.
