A major sinkhole has closed part of a road in the north end of Barrie.
Crews were working overnight when they struck a water main on Cundles Road West and Sunnidale Road, the pipe burst which caused the dirt and asphalt to give way.
The hole is big enough to fit a small car in it.
Public works crews fixed the water main early Friday morning and the road was expected to reopen around 7:00 p.m. on Friday night.
The road will then be closed on Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for paving
