A severe thunderstorm watch has ended for York and Durham Region.
Environment Canada ended the watch on Saturday afternoon, hours after issuing the advisory. The weather authority issued the watch ahead of a system that had the potential to bring hail and heavy rain.
The same system that threatened York and Durham Region also prompted severe thunderstorm watches for most of southern Ontario.
