Severe thunderstorm watch ends for parts of Durham and York Region

Environment Canada has ended a severe thunderstorm for York and Durham Region.

A severe thunderstorm warning and watch were in place for Newmarket, Georgina, Uxbridge, Beaverton, Lindsay and southern Kawartha Lakes, but they have since ended.

The weather office said the storm could have brought heavy rain, hail and strong winds.
