Senior driving scooter killed in collision with transport truck

A senior driving a scooter was killed in a collision involving a transport truck in Alliston Thursday morning.

The collision happened shortly before 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of 8^th Avenue and Yonge Street.

Yonge Street was closed for several hours between King Street and Industrial Parkway while police investigated.

Police have not released the victims identity.
