A teenager has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after being struck and trapped under a dump truck in Vaughan.
According to York Regional Police, the teen was riding a scooter in the area of Bathurst Street and Rutherford Road at around 11:17 a.m. when the collision happened.
As a result, the rider became trapped beneath the dump truck. Emergency crews were able to rescue the teen and transport him by air ambulance to a nearby hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injures.
Bathurst was closed for several hours while police probed the scene.
