It won't be long before students head back to school and when they do, they'll need pencils, books and backpacks. Those supplies can be expensive, so the Salvation Army is going to help some families out.

At Walmart’s in Barrie, the Salvation Army has set up donation boxes for people to drop off school supplies.

They're collecting backpacks, crayons, lunch boxes and dictionaries. The goal is to be able to hand out a hundred 'stuffed' backpacks to kids in need.

The donation boxes will be set up inside the Walmart’s in Barrie until Sunday.
