Provincial police are releasing new details about what caused a fatal crash east of Huntsville on Saturday between a tour bus and an SUV.

It happened on Highway 60 at Tea Lake Road, approximately 12 kilometres east of the west gate of the park, at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Police say the SUV was travelling east and pulled on the shoulder of the road and then turned left in front of the eastbound bus.

The driver of the SUV, a 51-year-old man from Richmond Hill, was pronounced dead at the scene. Three other passengers in the SUV were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the bus was also taken to hospital but the 53 passengers from the Toronto area on the bus were not injured.

Highway 60 was closed between Highway 35 and Highway 127 for nearly 12 hours for the investigation.
