South Simcoe Police will be canvassing homes in an Innisfil community this weekend after bullet casings were located.
The casings were found on Sunday, a day after gunshots were heard in the Cookstown area. Officers noticed that a second floor window of a nearby home had been boarded up.
Officers spoke with the residents, but they were uncooperative.
As part of the investigation, SSP is planning to canvass homes in the area on Saturday, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
