Barrie Police are searching for three men after a reported assault in an apartment on Tuesday night.
The incident happened shortly after 6:00 p.m. at an Innisfil Street apartment.
When police arrived they found a 30-year-old man with serious head injuries. He was taken to RVH for treatment but later transported to a Toronto area hospital for specialized treatment.
Through the investigation, officers discovered the victim knew at least one of the three suspects.
Police say all three men are described as dark skinned and were last seen fleeing the area in a min-van towards Anne Street south.
The investigation is still in the early stages and police say the motive and other details are still unknown.
