Barrie Police are searching for a man after a convenience store was robbed in the south end early Friday morning.

It happened just after 3:00 a.m. at the Mac’s Convenience store at 555 Mapleview Drive.

Police say the man entered the store with what appeared to be a metal bar and immediately made his way around the counter to where the clerk was.

Barrie Police released security video showing the suspect taking an undisclosed amount of cash from the till.

The suspect then fled the scene. The store clerk was not injured.

He is described as a man of unknown decent, between 5'10" and 6'2" and has a medium build. He was wearing a white hoodie with purple 'Fox Racing' logo on the front. He had a black ball cap with a gold coloured sticker on the brim. He was also wearing white gloves, dark coloured footwear and a face mask with white on the bottom portion.
