Police have charged a patient at the Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care in Penetanguishene.

OPP tell CTV News the charges stem from an incident that took place on June 15 inside the centre, where a weapon was allegedly involved. Provincial police say nobody was hurt in the incident. 

A 22-year-old Toronto man faces numerous charges including possession of a weapon, assault with a weapon, mischief and uttering threats.

The accused is scheduled to appear in court on July 10.
