A young Orillia couple accepted a $50 million dollar cheque Monday after winning the Lotto Max jackpot earlier this month.
Deanna Bergeron and Jeff Bourret are in shock:
“It’s surreal. You don't think it can happen and it has and we're still processing it,” says Bourret.
Bergeron got the ticket at a convenience store while out buying ice cream.
The couple announced their engagement a few months ago.
“Perfect timing - now we can have the wedding of our dreams and expand the guest list whereas before we would have had to be more frugal.”
The happy couple plan to tie the knot in 2016.
