Orillia city council has decided the best way to attract new businesses and tourists is to let the people who already live in the city tell everyone what makes it such a great place to live.

A new project aims to build a new brand, complete with a logo and tagline, and to develop a signage program that will help visitors to Orillia find their way to key points of interest.

The first phase of public consultation started last week with the launch of an online survey.

“Orillia is truly open for business,” said Mayor Angelo Orsi in a news release.  “I know our community is passionate about Orillia, and I’m looking forward to seeing all the great ideas and suggestions gathered through the public engagement phase.”
