Barrie police are searching for four suspects after two stabbing earlier this week.

On Tuesday night, three males and one female were seen approaching a man outside the Barrie Public Library on Worsley Street.

Barrie police say the group ripped a backpack off the victim, knocking him to the ground and assaulting him. This is when the victim was stabbed in the back.

The 18-year-old was airlifted to a GTA hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

A short time later, police say the second stabbing happened at Berczy Park on Peele Street.

Two males and a female confronted a man regarding stolen property. Investigators say the man ended up stabbed in the head.

He was taken to Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre with minor injuries.

The first suspect is described as a white male, about 5’10”, with a thin build. He was seen wearing red shoes, black track pants, a blue hoodie and a light coloured hat.

The second suspect is described as a white female, 5’6”, about 155 pounds, with brown hair. She was seen wearing dark pants, a grey jacket and possibly had a blue backpack.

The third suspect is a white man, 5’9”, with a thin build. He was seen wearing blue track pants, white shoes and a blue jacket.

The fourth suspect is a white man, 5’10”, with brown hair. He was seen wearing white shoes, red pants and a dark multi-coloured t-shirt.

At this point, police aren’t officially connecting the two incidents, but based on descriptions, they believe it’s likely.
