The Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office is trying to determine if a fire at a Barrie furniture store is suspicious.
Barrie firefighters were called to Spring Vacuum and Furniture store on the corner of Dunlop Street and Ferndale Drive on Thursday, at around 9:30 p.m.
The building’s sprinkler system helped firefighters extinguish the flames. Damage is estimated at $50,000.
Investigators are now trying to determine a cause. Officials with the OFM are on scene and are assisting with the probe.
The store has been going out of business for the last several months.
