Fire investigators are continuing to probe the cause of a destructive blaze that destroyed two homes and damaged a third in Innisfil on Friday afternoon.
The Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office along with Innisfil fire officials were back on Mapleview Drive, near Warnica Avenue on Sunday. Investigators could be seen combing through the wreckage in search of what sparked the $750,000 fire on Friday.
Innisfil Fire Chief Jon Peggsays a mother and child were inside one home and a man was in the other. All three were able to get out safely.
Every available Innisfilfirefighter was called to the scene to fight the fire. Peggdescribes the battle as a difficultone, as there were no hydrants in the area.
The investigation is expected to conclude in the coming days.
