No injuries after vehicle fire on Hwy. 400

A vehicle fire on Highway 400 near Newmarket on Thursday afternoon caused traffic delays.

The fire happened in the northbound lanes of the 400 near Highway 9.

OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt tells CTV News the vehicle was carrying a load of Styrofoam when it caught fire. No one was injured.

Police say motorists can expect some delays while crews clean-up the debris.
