Newmarket resident Susan Chen was the first ever winner of the $1 million grand prize in OLG`s Slots and Casinos ``win a shot at a million`` promotion.
The 60-year old mother of three and grandmother of two chose lucky number eight at the OLG Slots Georgian Downs on Sunday August 24th.
The ``win a shot at a million promotion`` is open to all Winner`s Circle Rewards members, and requires members to swipe their card to qualify for one of three grand prize events.
At each of the grand prize events, one person is chosen to pick between 1 and 25, which features prizes ranging from $25,000 to $1 million.
This marks the fifth year the promotion has been held, and the first the grand prize has been won.
