A funeral service was held Tuesday for the Newmarket girl killed last week when a soccer net fell on top of her.

Jaime Palm loved sports and was just 15 years old.

Friends and family gathered at Our Lady of Grace Church in Aurora to remember the teenager.

Many of the young people who knew her wore their soccer jerseys to the service.

The teenager went to Bill Crothers Secondary School in Markham.

Flags at the school were at half-mast.

A book of condolences has been set up at the school for students to sign.  About 15-hundred students go to the school - known for its athletics.
