A man in his 50s was taken to hospital with serious injuries on Saturday morning after the motorcycle he was operating collided with a car in Tiny Township.

It happened just before 11 a.m. at the intersection of County Road 6 and Tiny Concession 9, south of Perkinsfield.

OPP Const. Martin Hachey tells CTV News the man was first transported to a local hospital, and then airlifted to Toronto.

While the man’s injuries are considered serious, the nature of them is unclear.

Firefighters, police and paramedics were all called to the scene.

The intersection was closed for a few hours after the OPP’s technical traffic investigators were called in to examine the scene.

Paramedics tell CTV News that they don’t believe there were injuries to anyone else involved.

The OPP say it’s not clear at this time what caused the crash, or whether charges will be filed.
