Thursday was another day of brutal snow squalls and whiteouts in Muskoka.

From Gravenhurst, to Bracebridge, to Huntsville it’s was a bad day for anyone venturing out on the roads.

There were lots of vehicles stuck in ditches leaving drivers desperately trying to dig their way out.

According to the OPP, they had more than 900 calls than usual since Monday and they had 50% more calls on Wednesday as they did the same time last year.

At one point on Thursday, parts of Highway 60 and Highway 11 were closed because driving was almost impossible.

“When we’re closing the highway it is frustrating that people are still actively trying to get through them,” says OPP Constable Lynda Cranney.

And now there is a new concern, the temperature is expected to climb this weekend and rain is in the forecast. That has a lot of people wondering if they should be worried about flooding.
