Provincial police say they have found more barbed wire in an area used by snowmobilers.

On Friday, officers discovered the single strand of barbed wire erected on a fence in the Grey County Forest Management, located in the Osprey-Blue Mountain Townline area.

Police say they also located a sign, which read, “Snowmobile Trail Closed. Snowmobilers stay off to avoid prosecution. Caution – Beware of wire barriers on closed trails.”

The same sign and barbed wire was previously located on Jan. 25 on Crown Land in the area of Grey Road 31 and Road 57D in Grey Highlands.

The OPP say they don’t know when the barbed wire was put up or if there are other locations.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
