Provincial police say they’re investigating the attempted abduction of a young girl in Alliston.
An 11-year-old girl was walking on Falkner Road near Warman Street and Knight Street on Thursday, at around 8:40 a.m.
The OPP say the girl was approached from behind by a man, who grabbed her backpack and pulled her towards him. According to police, she was able to break free and run away.
The suspect is described as a 30-year-old white male with an athletic build. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, ripped jeans and was carrying a white backpack.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
