An elderly woman has died in a suspected drowning near the Thornbury harbour on Friday morning.
According to the OPP, the woman is believed to have been swimming in the water when she became distressed at around 11:30 a.m.
The woman, who is in her 80s, was taken out of the water and bystanders began performing CPR.
Paramedics arrived shortly after and transported her to hospital. She was later pronounced dead.
An autopsy has been order, but her death is not considered suspicious.
The investigation is ongoing.
