A 52-year-old woman is facing charges after her friend was assaulted over the weekend after enjoying a night out drinking together in Barrie.
Police say the victim told police she was physically assaulted as well as choked by her friend during the assault.
The 52-year-old woman has been charged with assault and overcome resistance by attempting to choke, suffocate or strangle.
She will appear in court in March to answer to the charges.
