Barrie Police have charged two men after three people were assaulted and an iPhone stolen in an incident on Tuesday night.

Police say two brothers and friend were working along Ardagh Road around 9 p.m. when they came across two men and began arguing with them.

The argument escalated to the point where the two men threated to assault the brothers and rob the trio.

Police say the argument continued and one of the brothers was assaulted, resulting in a significant facial injury. Police also say the two men then took iPhone and ran away.

Police officers and the K9 unit tracked the pair to a Timberwalk address and arrested them.
