Environment Canada issued freezing rain warnings for some parts of our region on Saturday; however, the rain didn’t last long because temperatures were too high.

Shelburne resident Martin Guyton took advantage of the warm weather to clear away some snow and ice.

"We are on the shoulder of two lakes and no matter which way the wind blows we get lake effect snow,” said Guyton. “Anything you can do to get ahead of it is a good thing.”

Some people are just happy to get a break from the constant snowfall.

“It's not bad today a lot better than a couple days ago you couldn't even see the road,” said Honeywood resident Ben Guio.

Rain and mild temperatures are expected over the next day or two, and could mean high and fast-moving water.
