Provincial police are investigating the alleged abduction of an elderly man in Ramara Township on Sunday.

According to Orillia OPP, four men attended the man’s home at around 11:30 a.m., where they assaulted the victim and demanded money. That’s when police say two of the suspects forced the man into a white motorhome.

The other two suspected followed in a second motorhome with a red canoe on the roof.

A short time later, police say the victim was able to escape the motorhome at the Ultramar Gas Station on Highway 12. The vehicle was later located in the parking lot of the Independent Grocer in Beaverton.

Police are now asking for the public’s help in locating the accused and the second motorhome.

The first suspect is described as a white man, 6’1”, 210 pounds, with a large bushy beard.

The second suspect is described as a white man, 6’3”, 250 pounds, with grey hair. He was last seen wearing glasses, a black hoodie and jogging pants.

Police say the victim knew the second suspect as Carl from Moncton, N.B.
