York Regional Police say a Newmarket woman has been identified as the deceased in a fatal crash in East Gwillimbury.
The single vehicle crash happened late Sunday night in the area of Old Yonge Street and Mt. Albert Road. Officers arrived on scene to find the vehicle off the road.
The driver, a 25-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Old Yonge Street was closed for several hours, but has since reopened.
Police are hoping to speak to anyone who witnessed the crash. Anyone with information is asked to contact YRP or Crime Stoppers.
