Environment Canada is reporting more record breaking low temperatures across the region.

The weather authority says Barrie, Beatrice and Muskoka all broke records for the coldest March 6. According to Environment Canada, temperatures dipped to -27.2 C, breaking the previous record of -25 C set in 2007.

Beatrice broke their 1928 record of -29.4 C – registering -30.7 C on Friday morning. It was a similar situation in Muskoka. That community broke their 1948 record of -28.8 C with a -31 C.

Barrie, Buttonville, Muskoka, and Wiarton have all broken temperatures records this year.
