Wasaga Beach town council has voted in favour of a new downtown master plan.

The vote was five to two in favour of the new plan on Tuesday night. The plan outlines where development should go and what it will look like.

One of the key elements is a roundabout on Main Street. The plan also outlines the town’s intentions to build an arena or library, as well as a public square.

The new downtown will be right over the bridge from the town's tourism and entertainment districts on the waterfront.

There are plans for two more bridges, including one just for pedestrians.
