A 30-year-old Lindsay man is facing a charge of impaired driving after a crash in Barrie’s south end on Wednesday morning.
It happened just after 11 a.m. in the area of Big Bay Point Road and Bayview Drive.
Police say the vehicle the man was driving struck another vehicle in the area and fled the scene.
Several minutes later the police were notified that the man was attempting to abandon the vehicle behind a nearby box store.
Officers located the man and arrested him for failing to remain at the scene and impaired driving.
No one was injured however both vehicles were severely damaged.
Police are still investigating.
