A Toronto-area man is facing several charges after police say a knife-wielding robber stole a woman's purse, then showed up at her apartment a few days later.
York Regional Police say the woman was leaving a bank in Richmond Hill, north of Toronto, when a man with a large kitchen knife approached her outside her parked car.
Police say the man forced the woman into the back seat of her car while he got into the driver's seat, but the woman escaped and the man fled with the purse, which contained her keys and identification.
It's alleged the suspect went to the woman's apartment on Wednesday, again armed with the knife, and police arrested him at the scene.
Antonio Ricciardi, 58, of Richmond Hill, faces six charges including robbery, forcible confinement and two counts of carrying a concealed weapon.
Police say he's being held in custody and is to appear in court on Monday.
