Georgian Bay Township woman charged in fatal crash

A Georgian Bay woman has been charged with careless driving after a fatal crash between a cement truck and an SUV in October.

The crash happened on Tottenham Road in New Tecumseth on Friday October 10^th at around 12:30 p.m.

Police say the two vehicles were travelling northbound when they collided.

Both drivers and occupants in the SUV were transported to hospital with serious injuries.

One passenger in the SUV, 26-year-old Michael Lalonde from Hamilton, died at the hospital.

Police finished their investigation and charged the 53-year-old woman driving the cement truck with careless driving. She will appear in court in January.
