South Simcoe Police say a man blew more than three times the legal limit after he crashed his SUV into an Alcona business.

Officers were called to the Alcona Beach Health Shoppe, at around 10 p.m. on Sunday, after an SUV went through the front window of the business.

The driver, a 24-year-old man, was arrested and allegedly blew three and a half times the legal blood alcohol limit. No injuries are reported.

The accused has been charged with impaired driving. The man’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and the SUV was impounded.

Damage to the store is estimated at $40,000. The owners expect to reopen once emergency repairs are completed.
