The longest-serving uniform member of the OPP has retired after a 50-year career.

Constable Adrian Kooger started his career as a police officer in 1967 and served his first posting at the Toronto OPP Detachment, now known as Downsview.

He then moved to the Brechin detachment near Orillia before transferring in 1976 to the Orillia Detachment, where he spent the next 41 years.

Over the course of his five-decade career, Kooger served under nine different OPP commissioners.
