Barrie rugby standout Tyler Webb is now one step closer to his dream.
Webb was named to Toronto’s Sevens squad on Wednesday for a big international showcase tournament in New York City. It’s one of the biggest tournaments of its kind in North America.
“It’s a good look for schools like universities and stuff to look at me and see what I got,” he says.
At the same time, Webb is still looking to land a spot with Canada’s U18 Rugby World Cup Team.
“I’m just waiting on Rugby Canada to contact me back to go to the next East Canada Rugby Camp and if I get selected for that, that’s the last evaluation that you get before they make the full U18 team.”
Webb and the Toronto Sevens leave for New York later this month.
