Artists and performers in the City of Kawartha Lakes now have a united voice and direction after plans to establish an Arts Council in the Central Ontario town is going forward.
City council adopted a cultural master plan in the hopes of expanding cultural tourism.
A key recommendation in the plan is to create a cultural governance body that will unite the arts sector and act as an umbrella for the large number of arts organizations throughout Kawartha Lakes.
