Investigators say they have determined where a destructive fire started in Innisfil on Friday.
The Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office finished their investigation on Monday and says the fire that destroyed two homes and damaged a third originated in the garage at 509 Mapleview Dr.
Investigators say the fire caused a total of $750,000 to all three homes, but because the fire was so intense, a cause was undetermined. No injuries are reported.
Innisfil Fire Chief Jon Pegg says the battle was a difficult one, as there were no hydrants in the area.
The properties have now been returned to the owners and their insurance companies.
